In October 2015 we carried out a survey to find out what events parents/carers would like to see and how they’d like the funds we raise to be spent. Thirty-three families responded (out of 75 in the school). Thank you to those who did as this will help us to understand and deliver what families want. Here are the results:
As a result, we will be continuing with our Summer Fair and Children’s Christmas Gift Fair. In January 2016 we will be meeting to discuss the feasibility of a family fireworks event in November 2016. We will also hold a coffee morning in January 2016 and another Family Camp-Out in the Summer. We will also arrange our first Children’s Bingo and Bangers and Movie Nights!
As a result we have allocated up to £1500 to fund 3 fun and educational activities this school year. These will take place in school and during the day, to ensure all children can experience these. We will also fund 10% of the exciting, new and hands-on Science programme the school is using. The PTFA have also agreed that funds raised through a class’s cake sale will be donated to their class teacher for spending on classroom resources. We have also allocated some petty cash donations to each teacher to help them add that extra sparkle to their lessons! We will also be donating the children’s School Council a budget of £200 from 2015-2016, to enable them to purchase items they feel are needed in school or in the outside play spaces.
Further detail on our spending plan is available HERE and we will provide further detail throughout the year.
